The Learning Circle, in partnership with UBC’s Indigenous Research Support Initiative (IRSI) are hosting a webinar on ethics and reciprocity in research.
In Good Relations: Ethics, and Reciprocity within Indigenous Research with Dr. Margaret Kovach will look at how scholars and institutions can engage in respectful, reciprocal relationships with the Indigenous communities, asking: What are the intersections between Indigenous ways of knowing and ethical approaches to collaborative research? How might researchers engender an ethos of ethical engagement when conducting research with Indigenous communities partners?
Dr. Kovach will also unpack the concept of reciprocity as it pertains to doing research that includes, impacts, or pertains to Indigenous Peoples.
