The Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre at UBC is hosting a Dialogue on the Government of Canada’s Bill C-15 which will provide political, expert, and legal perspectives on the proposed legislation to implement the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
The Dialogue will be co-facilitated by Dr. Mary-Ellen Turpel-Lafond, Aki-Kwe, and Dr. Roshan Danesh, QC, and will be aimed at sharing diverse perspectives on the implementation of the UN Declaration. Following an introduction and an overview of the new legislation, Dr. Turpel-Lafond and Dr. Danesh will lead expert and political panels that will include insights and perspectives on Bill C-15.

The Dialogue will be held on Thursday, February 4 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (PST). The event is free of charge and will be hosted virtually. Registrations are now closed.
